Taylor Swift‘s long-awaited Eras Tour is officially here, and it’s better than any fan could have dreamed. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter paid tribute to each phase of her 17-year career in a spectacular three-hour concert at the State Farm Arena in Glendale — sorry, Swift City — in Arizona on Friday night. Those lucky enough to have snagged a coveted seat to the show were treated to a medley of her greatest hits, from her debut single, “Tim McGraw,” from her eponymous 2006 album, to her latest dreamy ditty “Lavender Haze,” from her 10th album, Midnights.
“I’m gonna take a wild guess and say that if you’re here tonight, there’s a pretty good chance that you went through a considerable amount of effort to be with us tonight, is that true?” Swift asked the crowd. “Well, first of all, let me say, on behalf of me and every single performer that you see on this stage — all the band, all the crew, every single person who has been putting together this tour for years — thank you from the bottom of our hearts for wanting to be with us on night one.”
